Hierà, as it was called the island of Vulcano was sacred to Hephaestus, god of fire and divine blacksmith. This wine is dedicated to James Stevenson, a Scottish man of great culture, who first planted vines in this island. Unfortunately, the volcano eruption in 1888 destroyed all he had painstakingly created. Today Hauner, with the Hierà, bodied, intense and rich aromas bring back the pioneering spirit of this man. A great wine with a great price. One of our favorites.
